Yeah, We’ve Had Some Nights.
From nationally known comedians and touring musicians to Adult Prom, murder mysteries, burlesque, and karaoke nights that got slightly out of hand, The 122 Club has hosted a little bit of everything. Here are some of the people, productions, and questionable ideas that have passed through our doors.
Chris Kattan
More than150 guests packed the ballroom for an intimate night of stand-up with Saturday Night Live veteran Chris Kattan. Best known for characters including Mango and Mr. Peepers and for A Night at the Roxbury, Kattan delivered a crowd-pleasing performance that kept the room laughing from start to finish.
Ward Davis
Ward Davis brought real-deal outlaw country to The 122 Club—raw songs, sharp wit and absolutely no radio-polished bullshit. He recently performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and the acclaimed songwriter’s work has been recorded by Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Trace Adkins, Cody Jinks and others.

Ruben Ramirez

Nationally touring comedian and actor Ruben Ramirez brought his bold, sharply observational comedy to The 122 Club. A fast-rising voice in stand-up with appearances on WGN TV and BET+ and performances at the World Comedy Expo and Qué Chiste Comedy Festival, Ramirez delivered an energetic, sharply relatable set that immediately won over the room.
Ronnie Ray
Chicago comedian and actor Ronnie Ray is a regular host at The 122 Club, bringing together lineups featuring some of the best comics working in Chicago. Ronnie may also be the only comic whose screen credits stretch from Nickelodeon’s Victorious to Playboy TV’s Canoga Park—and he appeared in the hit film Save the Last Dance.

Michael Charles
Australian-born, internationally touring blues guitarist Michael Charles brought decades of road-tested musicianship to The 122 Club with his powerful blend of contemporary blues and blues-rock. A Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee who has performed alongside Buddy Guy and other blues legends, Charles delivered a guitar-driven show steeped in the sound and spirit of Chicago blues.
Ray Cashman
Ray Cashman brought his gritty blend of down-home blues, American roots and Southern rock to The 122 Club. A veteran singer-songwriter who has toured throughout the United States and Europe, Cashman paired weathered vocals, raw slide guitar and foot-stomping rhythms in a stripped-down show filled with the dirt and soul of the Mississippi Delta.
Some Nights Deserve Their Own Category
Some nights begin with a carefully planned production. Others begin with somebody saying, “You know what would be fun?” Adult Prom, murder mystery dinners, burlesque shows, themed parties and other one-night-only experiments have all found a home at The 122 Club. If it sounds entertaining and just questionable enough, we’re probably interested.​​​​​​​
